5 Day MOSAIC workshops that are suitable for beginners or experienced mosaicists. Learn to design, create and grout.
Explore colour & texture using a variety of materials and tools needed. There will be a materials charge.
Tea/coffee and a light home-made lunch are included.
Please bring a [shoebox size] cardboard box to cut into.
The days run from 10am - 4pm.

We are situated in a beautiful corner of the Severn Vale, and provide the perfect location for a creative break, with the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and Malvern Hills all on our doorstep.
£350 per week, to include tea, coffee & a light home made lunch, plus a materials charge, dependant on use.

Summer workshop
Watercolours 2024
Monday 24th - Friday 28rd JUNE
Imagine 5 days devoted to developing your WATERCOLOUR skills. No matter what level of experience you've had. Charmaine is full of ideas & encouragement to help you master some of the elusive qualities of watercolour. Each day will involve a demonstration from Charmaine, sketching in the idyllic setting of Keeper's Cottage and honing your painting skills in the studio.
The days run from 10am - 4pm.
Price: £350 per week, to include tea, coffee & a light home made lunch

Introduction to Mosaic

A chance to try the absorbing and addictive craft of Mosaic.
You will make a 8" x 8" (20cm x 20cm) Mosaic on M.D.F
The day will start with a look at the tools and materials, health and safety and design for mosaic. You will create your own mosaic choosing from a large selection of glass and ceramic tiles.
I will demonstrate the grouting process and provide you with the grout and notes to finish your project at home.

Coffee/Tea and a light home-made lunch are included.

Tea/coffee provided, bring your own lunch if you’re staying for both sessions.
Come for the full term of six, or dip in and out (space allowing)
£20 per session, AM or PM, or £40 for a full day. Plus a charge for any materials used.

Mosaic Workshop

Come and discover the addictive and absorbing craft of mosaic. In this one day course, you will learn about the materials and tools, how to use them and how to design for mosaic. You'll go home with a 20x20cm (8x8") mosaic on MDF. I will bring plenty of books/ideas for inspiration, or can help you interpret your own idea. I will bring a good selection of glass and ceramic tesserae, MDF, and all tools and materials.
Please bring a shoebox sized cardboard box to cut into.
There is a £15 materials charge, payable on the day.

smalti workshop

Smalti is a traditional hand cut glass , cut into rectangle from a large slab, used to create the shimmering, rich classical Byzantine mosaics. This workshop will show you how to cut and set this fabulous material, creating your own small, jewel like mosaic on MDF.
Tea/coffee and light home-made lunch.
All materials and tools will be provided.

mosaic christmas wreath workshop

A two day workshop where you will make a unique Christmas wreath which will become a part of your Christmas traditions. Suitable for indoors or on your front door. Rich jewel colours or pale and frosty, they look fabulous!
